[Gyeongju Travel] Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Spots

may_minjoo 2024. 4. 16. 22:07

Hi, I'm miniz😉
Continuing from my last post,

I'm writing <Gyeongju Travel with Cherry Blossoms
for 3 days and 2 nights>!

Clearly the concept of this trip is It was ‘leisurely’,
but our family walked and ended up taking 25,000 steps a day.

On the second day,
we visited many cherry blossom spots!
Introducing it right now!

Best of all, the accommodations for this trip
have a spectacular view!

You can see the ‘Tomb’ right in front of the accommodation,
and if you take a picture with the ‘Tomb’,
you can immediately get certified saying,

“Yes, this is Gyeongju!”

The first place is Hwangnyongwon-!
The weather was so nice on the second day,
I thought I should definitely see the cherry blossoms during the day.
It came out in a hurry.

I came here because I heard on Instagram
that Hwangryongwon was so pretty.

On top of that, I also went to see Bomun Complex.

As of 4/1, unfortunately, most of the cherry blossoms in Hwangryongwon and Bomun Complex were not in full bloom.

Some of the trees were in full bloom,
but they weren't a major photo spot
so they weren't pretty enough to take pictures.

The photo above was taken of only the tree in full bloom🥲

The Hwangryongwon photo spot I chose is right here!
It's near the parking lot you see when you come towards Hwangnyongwon Jungdo Tower.

The most famous photo spot is Hwangnyongwon.
And it is not easy to take the perfect photo
because there are a lot of people on the road and cars are constantly passing by,
but since there was no one here, I gave it a try!

But it was prettier than I expected so I was very satisfied!
It's not just cherry trees, but the pine trees along with them are pretty cool too.

Above all, the cherry blossoms on this side were much more blooming than on the roadside side of Hwangryongwon, so it was prettier :)

I'm satisfied☺❤

But after all, the main spot has a good reason… !

The only thing that was disappointing was that the cherry blossoms weren't in full bloom.

No matter how hard I looked with my eyes wide open, the tree on this side was not in full bloom.

The other side received more sunlight.
It was really disappointing.

But..still pretty :)

While my mom was enthusiastically taking my picture,
there was a couple waiting behind us.
I asked him if he could take a picture of me and my mom, and he happily said he would.

Plus, I was lucky enough to meet someone who was really good at taking pictures!
Thanks to him, I got a lot of pretty pictures with my mom :)

And out of gratitude, I passionately took pictures of the couple.

For Koreans, politeness, gratitude, and repayment are exactly what they are...lol.

Anyway, after enjoying the cherry blossoms at Hwangnyongwon,
I headed over to Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex.

It's definitely pretty, probably because there are cherry trees clustered around here!

I 10000% understand why people say the cherry blossoms in Bomun Complex are pretty.

Personally, I like the cherry blossoms at Daereungwon Stone Wall Road <<<<< Cherry blossoms at Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex!

If you are reading this article, please make sure to go to Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex to see the cherry blossoms.

Oh, the location where the photo was taken is in front of Starbucks Gyeongju Bomun-ro DT branch!

If you look closely, you can see the Gyeongju World roller coaster in the back.

The cherry blossom trees here are low and pretty.

I taught my mom how to take pictures using iPhone portrait mode.

Mom found it difficult at first,
but quickly got better at it...👀👍🏻

The second cherry blossom spot in Bomun Complex is ‘on the steps of the bridge near Bukcheon’.

The exact location isn't shown on the map, but it's a small bridge you can see if you walk a short distance from Starbucks!

There are stairs here, the model stands at the top and the person taking the picture goes down about 5 steps.

If you take a picture from the bottom up,
you can take a pretty picture with so many cherry blossoms.

And the middle of Bomun Lake is also pretty~
I think the building behind you is the ‘Bomun Lake Yuseonjang.’

It’s pretty if you take a picture from a spot
where you can see this building!

Milmyeon & pork cutlet restaurant (recommended👍🏻)

(The current business name and the business name in Google Maps are different!
Perhaps the business name has changed,
but it doesn't seem to have been updated on Google Maps.
If you use Naver Map or Kakao Map,
you can search for it in the app.)

Today I ate in an unexpected place...

Since I was on a family trip,
I tried to feed them something delicious,
but why should I eat Milmyeon in Busan after coming to Gyeongju?

Hahahahahahahahahahaha..

But my mom said it was hot
and she wanted to eat something cool,
so I gave it a go.

But here... It's so delicious...🥹
It was so delicious that I immediately looked it up on Google and wrote a review.

I read another person's review and they said it was better than the wheat noodles they ate in Busan.
I admit it. For those who don't know, 'Milmyeon' is Busan's representative menu!

Above all, the pork cutlet is really, really delicious.

In fact, when I only looked at the shape of the pork cutlet,
it was so thin that I couldn't help but think,
'Hmm... I came to the wrong place... I can't help it',
but as soon as I took a bite,
I thought 'Wow, what is this!!!'
It was enough to do it.

For your information, I don't prefer pork cutlet,
and I don't eat pork cutlet often.

But the pork cutlet here is really delicious...
and the sauce is crazy!
It's just sad that I can't express anything other than 'delicious'...

Boss, I hope you make a lot of money!!! :>

Let’s take a look at the cute Gyeongju without any tall buildings!

Bulguksa Temple public parking lot

The next destination is ‘Seokguram‘
To go to Seokguram, I first stopped by the Bulguksa Temple parking lot.
I heard there was a good coffee shop nearby,
so I went there and even bought an Ice americano.

I also took a picture of a meow I met along the way.
It's so cute to see him sleeping like that.

<Important information>

Take the bus from Bulguksa Temple to Seokguram!
There is a city bus that runs between Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram.

The first train departing from Bulguksa Temple is at 8:40 am,
and the last train is at 5:20 pm.

(Please note that the first train departing from Seokguram is at 9 am
and the last train is at 6:20 pm!)

The bus runs approximately every hour, so be sure to time it right!

Even if the bus time is not right, you can still take a taxi.
(But if possible, it's better to take the bus, right?)

The fare is 1,700 won one way.
I caught the bus in front of Bulguksa Temple and in front of Seokguram
because the bus schedule was right,
but it turned out that a lot of foreigners used that bus :)

Since foreigners carry cash, I also enjoyed the scene
where they received 300 won in change :>
(in Korea, more than 90% pay with credit cards!)

Everyone, the best cherry blossoms in Gyeongju are at the Bulguksa Temple parking lot.
Really.. I have to go to Bulguksa Temple first and then go somewhere else,
Bulguksa Temple is number 1!!!!!
(The person who said a while ago
that Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex is the prettiest)

Why is Bulguksa Temple the prettiest?

1. There are not many people
2. There are all cherry trees, so no matter how you take pictures,
you will always see cherry blossoms!
3. So I can take pictures however I want.

For the location, type in ‘Bulguksa Public Parking Lot’ and
go to the back of the parking lot.
(It is a large park-like place, so you can see it at a glance)

I was excited because the cherry blossoms were so pretty.
Anyway, I had my younger brother take some pictures.
He took some pictures.

It’s been a long time since I came to Seokguram.
I came here on a field trip when I was in elementary school,
and when I became an adult and was 22? I think I've been here before...
I came once again in my 30s :)

It was amazing that something important was hidden in such a small and cute place.

It's just a shame that I couldn't take pictures inside.
It was a shame, so I took a photo outside. >ㅡ<

It is said that Seokguram is open only once a year, on Buddha’s Birthday!

After seeing Seokgura, I took the city bus from Seokguram to Bulguksa Temple
and got off at the Bulguksa Temple public parking lot.
(Takes about 20 minutes by bus)

Jeonju Ttukbaegi Restaurant

Is this already your third miss?
Another dinner that went astray from my plan...
(Why did you research Gyeongju restaurants in advance..?)

Still, it’s important to be hungry right now!
I quickly searched and found a place with good reviews,
but to sum it up, it was delicious.

Even though it was 6pm on a weekday, there was no one there.

First of all, I heard reviews saying that the ‘mushroom bulgogi set meal‘ was delicious, so I ordered two servings.
(This menu can be ordered from 2 people)

It's a bit outrageous at 16,000won per serving,
but it's okay because we were hungry and the food was delicious.

The soup was very salty and savory!
Above all, I can say that it's delicious
because it passed my mother's somewhat strict standards :)

The abundance of side dishes also shows the true taste of Korean food. great.

And the tteokgalbi you see in the middle is said to be handmade tteokgalbi!
The price is 13,000 won per piece, which is still a wicked price, but it was delicious. (I'm mad because it's expensive, but it tastes good)

However, I am not at the point of recommending
that you should eat Tteokgalbi unconditionally.
The mushroom bulgogi set meal is highly recommended..!

I visited on a weekday, around 6pm on a Monday,
so it didn't seem like there would be anyone there
(there was definitely no one there when I entered the store).

People kept coming in while eating.
I guess this is a good restaurant...?
Conclusion : I'm good at searching...

As I was writing this, the post got too long,
so I'll write about my schedule after dinner in the next post.

Surprisingly, there is still a long way to go
before the second day of the trip is over..?
(For reference, dinner was finished at 7 p.m.)

See you in the next post!
