Today, I would like to tell you about my review of paragliding,

which was on my bucket list ✔️

I experienced a new world after paragliding in Switzerland in 2016,

and there are several famous paragliding spots in Korea!

I thought, ‘I must try paragliding in Korea at least once,’

and that dream came true with my trip to Danyang!

The way to go from Seoul to Danyang is by taking the ‘KTX eum’!
It's a relatively new train, so it's comfortable, and it's fast,

so it's a great tip for a  traveler like me!

 

 

 

How to get from Seoul to Danyang, Previously, it was a bit inconvenient and far,

but with the recently opened KTX-eum,

I was able to get to Danyang in 1 hour and 30 minutes!
The price is 18,300 won per person one way.

I went on the weekend, but if you don't book in advance,

it's sold out, so make sure to reserve your tickets in advance!

It seemed like there weren't that many trains yet.

 

 

 

 

It was a comfortable trip because it was a new train,

and there was a wireless charger so it was a happy trip :)

 

 

 

I went on November 6th to fulfill one of my bucket list items,

Where to do Danyang paragliding?

 

 

 

Since Danyang is already a famous paragliding spot in Korea,

it took me the longest to find out which company would do it!

For those of you who know,

1. Location: Cafe Mountain side vs. Goblin Cafe side​

I recommend that you choose from two major places to start.
It's not much different, but when paragliding (+ when taking pictures),

there will be a background you want...!
And if you want to glide from a higher place,

it would be a good idea to consider the height as well!

2. Costume
Most clothes are khaki, and navy, black, and red are unique colors.
I was attracted to the red one, but I still chose khakis

because they were the best, and I have no regrets.

3. Price
In fact, they are all similar!
Since there are many companies, the prices are almost the same.

I remember that the basic price was in the 80,000~85,000 won

+20,000 won for GoPro video, but the price wasn't much different,

so it wasn't a huge consideration!

Location: Goblin Cafe side (Mountain View)
Clothing: only khaki
Price: 85,000 won for normal (20,000 won added for GoPro video)
Features: Free photo printing (4photos, including paper album), free pickup

 

 

 

 

 

Reservations were made over the phone!

You can also purchase products on Naver,

but you have to make reservations over the phone anyway.

If you set the date and time over the phone,

they will send you a text message.

And once you deposit the deposit, your reservation is complete!

Please also send a text message about flight availability/unavailability a day in advance.
Danyang has stable weather all year round,

so paragliding is possible in most cases, so don’t worry!

​

 

 

The remaining amount will be paid upon arrival!
Also, please rent clothes, helmets, and shoes.
In the case of clothes, it was convenient because they looked at the size :)
The shoes were available in different sizes so there was no problem!

 

 

 

They also help you take pictures after paragliding,

and you can print up to 4 of your favorite pictures per person!

 

 

 

 

After putting on all my clothes and helmet,

I head towards the glide range and there is someone calling my name.

He was the teacher who would help me with paragliding.

We briefly exchanged greetings and took a photo while waiting.

 

 

 

I am very satisfied because the weather is really nice.

Wear knee pads (Chopper...cute...) and safety gear.
Since the teacher explains everything clearly and clearly,

all I have to do is check well!

I vividly captured the paragliding scene :)

It was even prettier because the autumn leaves and the river were together.
It’s not a paragliding spot for nothing~

The wind wasn't that strong that day, but it still blew a little.
I felt like I was going down too fast, so I kept saying,

 

"Teacher... this is on my bucket list...

I've been waiting for decades to do this...

so please come down as late as possible."

If you print the photos like this, the entire Danyang paragliding process is complete!
The scenery was really pretty, but the height wasn't that high,

so the paragliding time itself didn't take that long.
That's a little disappointing..

There's an area in Gangwon-do that's famous for paragliding,

so I'll try it there next time!
